1.Riding the Dragon

2. The History and Ancient Texts
The first references to kundalini can be found in the Upanishads, between 500 BC and 1000 BC, long before the descriptions of physical asanas which can be found in Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
The concept of Kundalini energy extends across Vedic, tantric and Hindu systems and is often referred to as Kundalini Shakti, meaning divine & limitless power.
Kundalini is also a principal focus in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, a Sanskrit text written in the 15th century, as the goal of all yoga practice.
In Hinduism, kundalini is believed to be a Goddess, whose power lies dormant, coiled at the base of the spine at the Root Chakra, represented as a Sleeping Snake.
In the ancient model of spiritual evolution, practised in Yoga and Tantra, the aspirant opens up their dormant life force energy, the Kundalini.
3. The Nervous System
Every time we have sex, we are inviting the Kundalini energy to flow up the central nervous system (from spine to brain), and then to the entire Peripheral nervous system (whole body).
However, it's only when it's consciously awakened and constantly cultivated that this energy leads to spiritual liberation, self-fulfilment and full-body orgasms.
Common practices include Tantra, Chanting, Meditation, Yoga, and Pranayama (ancient Indian breathing technique), among others.
4. The Cosmic Orgasms
It is important to learn the language of orgasm, which is contained at the sex centre, as this experience will be of utmost importance all the way through the chakra journey.
As each individual chakra opens, it is an orgasmic experience. And when all chakras are open to the descent of grace, it is known as Mahamudra, the great gesture arising out of the Orgasm with the Universe.
Once this has been achieved, the seeker is then able to become a conduit for the descent of universal energy, moving it from crown to genitals and on down through the legs, and feet into the earth, thereby accessing and living in universal consciousness.
It is an electrifying experience! After you tried it once, your sense of high-quality pleasure will never be the same. Having a Tantric Orgasm is like you go to Mexico and understand you have been drinking shitty tequila all your life. Or you go to Argentina and realize you've been doing barbecues all wrong. You got it? It's a tremendous breakthrough.
5. Sex and Enlightenment Are One
There is a saying in Tantra: No mud, no lotus.
An important understanding, which is inherent in Tantra, is that without the mud at the bottom of the lake, a lotus will not be able to grow. The rich humus gives nourishment to the roots, and from there, the stem can grow and finally blossom as the magnificent lotus, on the surface of the lake.
In the same way, our sexual energy functions as the rich mud from where our life force energy can grow and develop to its fullest flowering of enlightened consciousness. This brings us to the non-dual understanding that, in fact, Sex and Samadhi (bliss, liberation or enlightenment) are one.
