What do I pack?Suitcase size As you're traveling to a tropical paradise, you'll likely need fewer and lighter clothes than for a trip to colder climates. For a 10-day trip to Morocco, I recommend bringing a MEDIUM-sized suitcase. Typically, their dimensions range from 60x40x25 cm to 70x50x30 cm. Packing list I understand that packing can be the most challenging part of traveling. But don't worry, sister! As a gift, you'll receive a complete e-book on how to pack for The Mastery Journeys adventures. It includes day-to-day suggestions, so you can dress perfectly for each day's activities, workshops and evening events. This will help you make the right decisions and ensure you don't forget anything important or bring unnecessary items. I'm awesome, I know... :)
-
Do I need Passport?Yes! Besides, you must ensur your passport has at least six months of validity beyond your departure date. This is crucial for smooth international travel.
-
Do I need a Visa? Most European countries DO NOT need a Visa. Under Morocco’s visa policy, any foreigner coming to the country must obtain a visa unless they are citizens of a country on the visa-exempt list. Eligible visitors can stay in Morocco for 30 – 90 days without visas, but if they wish to stay for much longer, then they will need to apply for visas. Currently, the visa-free list keeps changing as nations and territories are entered and taken off; before embarking on a trip to the country, make sure you check the visa-free list for your country. If you are not eligible, apply to the nearest Moroccan embassy or consulate for a visa. Another type of online travel document issued by Morocco is the electronic visa.
-
Where can I get Travel Insurance?TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE Unexpected things do happen even if they are extremely rare, so that is why insurance is required once a deposit is made. Please be sure that your insurance policy covers you for all relevant activities you will be engaging upon in our Journey. Check World Nomads if you're European, and TravelSafe or I'm Global for everyone else. These platforms are easy and intuitive to use. Fill out the form with the details of our trip (dates, destination, cost, etc.), and they will provide you with the best insurance plan for your needs. These are just suggestions, although there are many travel insurance companies out there. Be sure to do your own research to find the one that best suits your needs. With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation.
-

If you cancel your trip, The Mastery Journeys does not offer refunds for any reason. All deposits are non-refundable and will not be returned. Why the flights are not included? The Mastery Journeys does not offer a flight booking service. The flights are not included in the price of the trip because: - You have the flexibility to choose where you want to leave from. - You decide which company and level of comfort you want for your flights. - Most travelers want to arrive earlier and/or leave later. - Additionally, the price of your flights may vary significantly depending on when you book. Nowadays, there are plenty of online tools for searching and booking international flights, so you can also choose to book your flights independently. We suggest consulting search engines such as Skyscanner, Momondo and Google Flights, which offer a variety of solutions with different itineraries at competitive prices. Remember that you should only buy your plane tickets when the trip has been confirmed, i.e. when the minimum number of participants for the trip has been guaranteed. For Morocco, the minimum is 5 women. You'll receive an email as soon as this happens, telling you that you can now book your flights. I recommend purchasing tickets with flexible fares so that you can change your flight in case of any unexpected events. Although, participants are required to cover their airfare and ground transfers, I will ask you for your booking details and arrival/departure times.
-
Is the transportation included at arrival and departure? The arrival and departure transportation is not included. Most participants arrive earlier and leave later. However, a taxi to and from airport is quite afordable: around 10 euros per trip. Additionally, I'll set up a Telegram/WhatsApp group before the trip. This way, you can connect with others on the same flight as you or arriving in Morocco around the same time. Many travellers enjoy sharing taxis, so this can be a convenient way to coordinate and save on transportation costs.
-
How do I reach the meeting point? In order for you to get to the meeting point, you'll receive detailed instructions. We will also connect you with your fellow travelers in a Telegram/WhatsApp group. Some travelers meet at the airport and come by public ransport to the meeting point. Feel free to find friends to share a taxi ride with, as well.
-
When should I arrive & depart? If you're on a tight schedule and flying in just for the Journey, we suggest arriving in the evening of the first day and departing after breakfast on the last day. Typically, there's a Welcome Briefing on the first evening (day 1 of 10), and Farewell Dinner is scheduled for the day before departure (day 9 of 10).
-
How's the transportation during the trip? We'll travel in a local minivan with a private driver, making it feel like a real girls' road trip! I often joke that we look like a 70s Rock band going on tour because we definitely Rock!
-
How does the accomodation looks like? The Mastery Journeys focuses on immersive travel experiences that prioritize close contact with local culture and traditions while also valuing comfort. This means we get the best of both worlds. Some days, we'll have the opportunity to sleep like desert nomads, while other times, we'll enjoy luxurious accommodations in mesmerizing Riads. It's all about maximizing our experiences and creating lasting memories. Expect nothing less than an unforgettable Journey filled with authentic experiences and cultural immersion, as well as Queen treatment.
-
Will I share a room?Reservations have been made for private rooms for each Goddess. Given the delicate and intimate nature of this journey, complete privacy in your bedroom is necessary to fully engage in the exercises. Yes! There will be evening or morning homework that you'll love! These activities will enhance your experience and deepen your connection with your body and spirit.
-
Will I have access to Wifi? All accomodations have Free Wifi, except when we go to the Sahara desert. If you want all time internet, here are the extra options: 1. You can buy a local pre-paid sim card at the aiport (Data + Calls) 2. Or get an eSIM from Nomad (Data) As a world traveler, I rely on Nomad's eSIM for good quality internet coverage in nearly every country. It's easy to set up; just download the app and follow the steps. In Morocco, there's an African plan offering 3G for 19 euros. Use the promo code MASTSBDGBZ to redeem your discount on any available plan in the listed countries.
-
Can I stay longer or arrive earlier?Yes, absolutely! Many women take the opportunity to be in such an exotic country and extend their stay by a few days or arrive earlier. Sometimes, you find in the group a travel budy for a few extra days. I can provide you with a list of places to go and suggested accommodations, and you just need to book it.
-
Power Plugs & Sockets: do I need a travel adapter? In Morocco, power plugs and sockets (outlets) are of type C and type E. The standard voltage is 220 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.
-
How's the food while traveling? Our included meals will always feature local delicacies. At times, we'll even learn how to eat like true Moroccans or Berbers, trying it all from high-end cuisine to traditional street food. The Moroccan diet is heavily grain-based, focusing on the wheat found in couscous, breads, and pastries. The main protein sources are lentils, chickpeas, and fava beans. Moroccans also frequently eat beef and veal, as well as poultry in the form of chicken and pigeon, and fish in coastal regions. Morocco is probably best known for its couscous and its tagine — a chicken, lamb, or fish stew with vegetables. Interesting Cultural Fatcs - Morocco ranks ninth in the world for Tea consumption. When serving guests, Moroccans ceremonially pour the Tea from at least 30cm (1 foot) above the teacup. - Meals are customarily eaten while sitting on the floor. Food is taken from a common dish using only the right hand, and leftover juices are soaked up with bread. The logical exception to this rule is soups, which are eaten with spoons. - Moroccans usually eat at home. Many buy small quantities of meat and cook it the same day, instead of shopping once a week. - Should they eat out, most Moroccans eat street foods rather than going to restaurants. Urban restaurants cater largely to foreign tourists seeking authentic Moroccan cuisine.
-
What meals are included? All breakfasts and 9 meals.
-
What if I have a diet restriction?Inform and communicate If you have any dietary restrictions or special requirements, please let me know in advance. I'll do my best to accommodate your needs and ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable culinary experience during your Journey in Morocco. Some examples: Overall, while being vegetarian in Morocco may require some extra communication and flexibility, you can still enjoy a variety of delicious and culturally rich meals during your visit. Besides, I always include vegetarian options at the table. I'm a flexitarian myself. Managing allergies while traveling, especially in countries like Morocco with a unique culinary landscape, requires careful planning and communication. Although I will do my best to provide allergen-free options, please carry your emergency medications, such as antihistamines, epinephrine injectors (e.g., EpiPen), and any prescribed medications related to your allergies. Keep them easily accessible during your Journey.
-
What's included in a meal?Included: starters, main course, and water. Not included: other beverages, coffee, tea, tipping the waiter.
-
Is the Journey fisically demanding? You must feel comfortable with the following: - Gentle hiking (no special gear is needed) - Walking long distances in chaotic African cities - Walking on irregular terrains, such as cobblestones - Riding a horse or a camel - Crossing a part of the Sahara Desert - Being capable of enduring high temperatures, such as 35ºC Remember: The Mastery Journeys is all about exploration and stepping out of your comfort zone. This is not a "shanti retreat"! It's a Timeless Immersive Adventure for the freespirited. Let's go, sister!
-
Does this trip require special health care?To Marocco, there are NO recommendations regarding vaccinations or disease prevention measures. For a personalized medical assessment through a Traveler's Consultation, it's recommended to schedule this one to two months before your trip. You can do this through your countrie's National Health Service, by telemedicine or in a Private Hospital/Clinic.
-
What if I have a chronic desise?Women with chronic illnesses or a history of cardiovascular and/or respiratory diseases should always consult their doctor and inform us beforehand. If you need to travel with any medication, particularly chronic or less common medication, take a copy of the prescription with you.
-
How can I get local currency?Currency The currency in Morocco is the Dirham. We recommend that you pay in the local currency to make it easier to understand prices and change. ATM Machines You can withdraw or exchange euros/dollars for dirhams at the airport once you arrive or in main cities. Outside of major cities, it's not guaranteed that you'll find ATMs. Daily, you'll receive information on currency withdrawal and exchange options. Debit/Credit Cards Visa credit cards are not accepted in most places we go and other credit cards may be even less acceptable. We advise you to take a Revolut or similar card. The main advantages are the low or non-existent fees. Reportedly, the exchange rates are more favourable than those of traditional banks, so it's an excellent option for saving money on fees while travelling. Use this Revolut link to support me as well as to go global with great currency exchange rates!
-
How much money should I take with me?I suggest starting with a withdrawal of 100€, which should provide enough pocket money for meals not included in the journey - around 10 euros per day. You can always withdraw some extra money for shopping, extra activities, additional spa services, SIM card, drinks, tipping, any emergency, etc. It's recommended to have at least 200€ for these additional expenses, but this amount varies depending on each traveler's preferences.
-
How to tip the Trip Leader at the end of the Journey? If the experience: - Met your expectations, consider a tip of 5% or more. - Went beyond your expectations, consider a tip of 10% or more. These suggestions are based on guidelines from the tourism industry. Additionally, we believe that recognizing excellent service is a personal matter.
-
What is the agenda of each day?The agenda of each day is unique and may vary significantly. This is what the avarege schedule looks like: 7:30am: Breakfast 8:30am: Cultural Activities 11:00am: Free Time 12:00pm: Lunch 1:30pm: Road Trip / Desert Raid 3:00pm: Workshop 5:00pm: Free Time 6:30pm: Dinner 8:00pm: Evening fun You’ll receive a detailed schedule prior to the Journey.
-
What if I feel uncomfortable doing any of the practices? We never force you to do any practice that you feel will cross your boundaries. There is a sweet spot between honouring your boundaries and stepping out of your comfort zone. We encourage you to find that 'tender edge', because that is where growth and healing lie. If some of the exercises have physical contact and you do not feel comfortable, we always give alternative ways to practice each method without physical contact, such as energetically in the auric field. Do not hesitate to reach out to your Trip Leader at any time. I will be always available for you in case you need any emotional support.
-
Do I have to participate in everything?I highly recomend you to participate on the workshops: 1 per day of around 2h.
